Overall Carbon Poker Review
Overview
CarbonPoker.com is the main room on the expanding Merge Poker network.
The sit and go traffic is really starting to pick up and the guaranteed tournaments are becoming bigger and better. Carbon’s software has some really neat features that make playing at Carbon Poker a lot of fun.
The competition is still weak in comparison to the bigger poker rooms, so if you want to have a good time, while making some good money playing straight forward poker then Carbon is the place for you.
Sit and Go Tournaments
Carbon Poker isn’t really known for its sit and go tournaments, but they do actually have quite the selection and some fun, unique games.
The sit and go’s sometimes take a few minutes to fill, but during peak hours games consistently run with buy-ins up to $55.
The turbo and bounty sit and go’s are the most popular and Carbon Poker event has a sit and go leader board that pays out $12,000 every month.
Initial Deposit Bonus
Carbon Poker offers an initial deposit bonus of 100% up to $600 to all players who use the best Carbon Poker bonus code ‘BPBC’ when making their first deposit.
Your bonus is placed in a pending bonus account, but it is easily converted to real money by earning Carbon Poker VIP points from playing in tournaments and cash games on Carbon Poker.
The bonus is released in $10 increments every time you earn 500 VIP points. Your bonus expires upon your first withdrawal and any amount of your bonus that has not been cleared at this point will be forfeit.
Scheduled Tournaments
Carbon Poker has a very extensive tournament schedule with no tourneys starting every five or ten minutes.
The majority of the tournaments are small buy-in cash tournaments, but there are also many satellites to Carbon’s bigger tournaments including the $30K daily guarantee and the $50K Sunday guarantee.
Cash Games
Carbon Poker offers a wide variety of cash games including Texas hold’em, Omaha, 7 card stud, razz, 5 card draw and many others.
Most of the action takes place at the Texas hold’em tables, with a few tables of Omaha running, but you can rarely find games in the other poker variations.
You can often find no limit hold’em games with blinds as high as $25/$50.
Carbon Poker also has a casino where you can blow off some steam after a bad beat.
The casino games include roulette, blackjack, video poker, Caribbean stud and more.
Software & Graphics
Carbon Poker’s software is very visually appealing and runs smoothly.
Carbon has also gone out of their way to include some interesting features such as rabbit hunting and even the option to ‘deal it twice’ at select tables.
The carbon poker tables are resizable, with four tables easily fitting onto a standard screen.
This makes multi-tabling very easy, which can increase the hourly ROI of profitable players.
Competition
Carbon Poker still has a player base with below average skill. This is largely due to the Merge network, which Carbon Poker is a part of, aggressively trying to build their player base through freerolls.
This business model has since been changed, so the freerollers are beginning to move elsewhere, but there is still money to be made at Carbon Poker for a solid player.
A simple tight aggressive style should make you a winner in most Carbon Poker games.
Support
Carbon Poker offers live chat support, in addition to the standard email support.
This is great for if you want an answer to your question instantly.
